President's Message

Dear Friends,

The year was a challenging one. In a year in which we faced the retirement of our long standing ceo, William Primus, we also faced economic challenges that public service organizations and charities have not had to face since the 1930's. Due to our dedicated staff and cadre of volunteers we were able to maintain the following programs:

* Youth, Education, Leadership, and Career Initiatives
* Housing Outreach
* Employment Counseling and Placement
* Foreclosure Support Progrmas
* Utility Assistance and Counseling and others....,

The demands on our services have increased and the resources we were able to gather to support these services have been severly strained. Yet, as we have done for over 60 years, The Urban League of Morris County continues to thrive and be a valuable asset to those in Morris County in need of our services.

For 2010, we continue to see the demands for our services rising and testing our ability to provide. However, due to a reinvigorated staff and growing list of supporters, I believe the Urban League is prepared to meet any challenge that this unsual phase in our community's economic history continues to throw at us.

Of course, without the continued support of people like you, we would not be able to meet challenges that we continue to face. So whether you are a new supporter or an old one, volunteer and or donor, without friends like you we would not be able to serve the communities of Morris County as well as we do.

With Sincere Thanks and Appreciation,
Marc Pindus
President and Chief Executive Officer
